Ah yes. The unintended consequences of mandated code coverage without reviewing the tests. If you can mock the shit out of the test conditions to always give you exactly the answer you want, what’s the point of the test?

It’s like being allowed to write your own final exam, and all you need to pass the exam is 90% correct on the questions you wrote for yourself.

Why is this getting upvoted? OP is using irony. The No True Scotsman fallacy requires refuting a counterexample as well as “The modification is signalled by the use of non-substantive rhetoric such as “true”, “pure”, “genuine”, “authentic”, “real”, etc.” Check out the “Occurrence” section.

For a second I thought you meant never showed up as in your pihole can’t print to it. I was mildly surprised when my pihole automatically recognized and configured my brother printer on my network. But now that you mention it, I don’t think I’ve ever seen it black holed in my query log either!

  • I would imagine a lot of it has to do with food scarcity. There weren’t trucks and boats and planes to transport food back then. You had to eat what was available in your specific patch of dirt. If there aren’t a lot of food options where you live, and what is available can make you sick, you might start trying to prepare it and eat it in different ways until it stops making you sick.

For most people, rhubarb is one of hundreds of options of things to buy from a grocery store. To our ancient ancestors, it may have been one of a small handful of things that grew where they lived, and therefore a necessity to figure out how to eat it.

This may have been the unfortunate reality 20 years ago. But security cameras are cheap and ubiquitous. If it’s on school property (including school busses), then this should be simple. Separate the kids, review the footage, and punish the kid who started it. The one who didn’t start it gets an apology and assurances that they’re safe and it won’t happen again. The whole “punish them both equally” is insane and sociopathic.

  • Preach it brother. When I try to tell people about how amazing they are, I usually get the same reaction of eww gross. So I always respond with: “If you got human poop on your arm, would you just wipe it with dry toilet paper and consider it clean? Or would you wash it?” That usually lands it home.

  • You bet! While you’re at it, you should seriously consider installing one with a bidet seat. It will, quite literally, change your life. It’s that much better. There are cheap ones available on Amazon that you can install yourself, or you can splurge for a nice toto washlet or similar. Either way, go for it!

my toilets are like 23 years old

You’re more than two decades out of date with design and material improvements. And I’m guessing there are likely issues with things like gaskets and seals that are causing problems. Go pick up some new toilets and hire a plumber to install them, since you may need new valves, flanges, and who knows what else.

  • Can we please get bookmarks to remember your most recently used folder? Whenever I want to open a bookmark, I’m forced to start at the root folder and navigate around to find the folder and bookmark I want. If I just used a bookmark from some subfolder of my bookmarks, then I go to open a new one, the bookmark folder should be the last one I used. Instead it always starts at root.

It’s incredibly annoying. All other browsers (including Firefox on iOS) get this right. There have been multiple requests / bugs filed for this for years, but so far nothing.
