It’s a bit silly, because this kind of meme can definitely be interpreted as both a bigoted meme and as a sort of “ironic” kinda meme that is quite often posted in LGBT+ circles. It uses a lot of outdated terms like “Transsexual” and “Hermaphrodite”, but then also has the more LGBT+ shitpost stuff like “pet walking on keyboard - Other”. And indeed the absurdity of asking gender everywhere in the first place. I choose to pick the LGBT+ positive interpretation, but idk whether that’s its actual meaning.

That was hard to read, damn. I can read German quite well, but the font basically makes the capital letters a pure gamble to me. I guess this is a lesson to always listen to speaking cats lol.

This is simply not true in my experience. Basically everyone I know has to deal with all kinds of shit when installing Linux. Broken graphics drivers, random freezes, the touchpad disabling after closing the laptop, wifi not working, etc. There’s always something. Now I don’t mind fixing that, because I enjoy Linux more despide all of these issues. Andost of my friends manage to solve it as well because they’re programmers like me. But the average person might not be able to solve it and will feel like they’re constantly interacting with a broken system.

It surprises me that so many people think it didn’t fail. Remainers, which as far as I can remember nearly made up 50%, will almost all think it has failed from the start because they see the whole Brexit as a failed idea. And many Brexiteers seemed to have very unrealistic ideas about Brexit, seemingly thinking that they could just boss the EU around and get everything their way. And because we don’t live in their fairytale Brexit utopia world, they would always have been disappointed. Add to that the general incompetency of the Conservatives and it’s honestly quite astounding that anyone still thinks it’s going well.

It’s hard for me as a white Dutchman to truly understand the complexities of the situation, but we can all agree that slavery was horrible and that having a remembrance ceremony like this is a good thing. Not my experience. I’ve had multiple old games and an old printer that just straight up didn’t work under Windows. On Linux however (using wine for the windows exe’s) it usually does run. Sometimes it does require some googling, but there’s usually someone who tried it before.

I used to think communism was better than capitalism when I was younger as well, although I was not at all as well read up on it as some people here. But a subset of them (who I refer to as tankies) appear to support all kinds of horrible regimes because they used to be “communist” like China or sometimes even Russia.

I never said I was 100% against the idea of communism, nor against people who think it’s a good idea. I’m simply against the subset of commies that seems to blindly defend horrible regimes like the Chinese communist party. And sadly the latter seems well represented here, which is the group I’d refer to as tankies.

Sometimes there’s also the line that goes down at the start of the sprint, because the team still had to finish some dumb busywork to complete a story from the previous sprint.

This one definitely has potential. Some stuff looks janky, but given that it launches in 2024 that’s totally normal and there’s still plenty of time to fix that. The graphics look amazing and there’s plenty of cool mechanics in the trailer already such as asking Nix to interact with all kinds of environment objects, the blaster modes, and the flying and speeder.

Oi this seems interesting. Honestly I think I would’ve preferred an open world game in this setting with character customization rather than a fixed protagonist, but I’m nevertheless curious about this one.

I love this, but I always kinda miss out on really liking these Downfall subtitle swaps. My German isn’t perfect, but I get enough of the actual spoken dialog that it distracts me from the subtitles. It’s probably way funnier when you don’t understand what they’re saying.

Still, it can’t be too different from what’s happening in the Reddit HQ. At least I hope so
