Lol I feel ya. I started a cocktail community and a succulents community and Im trying to get some engagement happening so I’ll comment on every post and comment and I’ve got a bunch of own posts planned to keep things going. It’s actually kind of fun for now, but I’ve never moderated anything before, so I am a tad worried about what will happen if they outgrow my modding abilities. Until then, I’ll just keep dancing around and promoting the communities 🙃

It sucks that we have to be like bots. But you know what works? Being like a bot.

The only way to build what we want to build is to roll up our sleeves and get to it.

    🤣 same

My zillowgonewild clone (!zillowgonewild@midwest.social) has a couple hundred subscribers, but so far its been me and like 2 other people posting anything. It’ll happen eventually, though.

I have no idea what actually moderating a community is like, so the limited activity is probably a blessing that I’m too naive to appreciate rn.

i haven’t and don’t intend to create a community bc i crumble under any tiny level of responsibility but i’ve been commenting on any post i have something to say on, and up/downvoting every post i see depending on the content. i’ve killed hours at work so far lol
