I’ve been on Linux exclusively for over 5 years now. I’m starting to struggle with some Windows stuff that I just forgot how to do. But also I’m still shit at Linux. It just works so well that I never really had to learn what’s under the hood.
There is a lot of software that only runs on Windows that has no viable alternatives. For private use, the vast majority of people would be fine without Windows, but so many professional applications require it.
I remember seeing the Steam Deck and thinking “the button placement is really weird, none of this looks comfortable”. Then when I took it in my hands for the first time, everything made sense.
I’m pretty surprised nobody seems to like the Deck’s touchpads. Yes they’re a bit of a compromise, but I have been playing hundreds of hours using the right trackpad for camera control on my Deck and they’re pretty great. Maybe my hands are weird.
I don’t know how America survives without roller shutters. It’s blackout dark in my home whenever I want it to.
If you haven’t voted for Harris because of Gaza, congratulations. You sealed the fate of the remaining people living there. The US will increase their support and Bibi will feel more confident than ever. Palestine may be wiped out all together.
It doesn’t fucking matter that Harris isn’t everything you want from a president. She’s far from perfect. I don’t like her policies. The reality is that it was a choice between a conservative and a fascist. America chose fascism and the world will suffer.
Being a leftist and not voting because LoW aPpRoVaL is unbelievably irresponsible and I refuse to make excuses for people who stayed home.
Can we stop pretending this election was about Gaza?
- No more environment
That won’t be a problem. America will simply be towed outside the environment.
Typically, atheists don’t spend a lot of time thinking about gods. Also, most theists aren’t just theists, they follow a very specific religion/god, which is orders of magnitude less reasonable.
Except for the also outstanding KDE Connect which could just be called Konnect.
GIMP is great. I love to use it.
It’s not perfect, but it’s served me well over the past ten years.
