Searxng has it’s own issues like scaling and getting good results. It can still be a good option.

Prebuilt like a traditional server? I personally use an orange pi and it’s pretty good. Just make sure to use the open source arm OS.

There is a docker container setup with automatic lets encrypt and proxy. Can search around for it.

That’s too bad. I’ve done some open source before but nothing that popular. If someone finds it useful then it can’t be crap.

I know a lot of companies even if using your OSS won’t pay for bug fixes etc. It’s really sad.

What kind of industry or type of solution do those projects solve? That can be a big factor too.

Framework 13 AMD running PopOS no issues. It’s great.

Many docker images are not built for the raspberry pi arch. Maybe the newer models don’t have the issue but installing anything like Nextcloud or Seafile was a pain.

I recommend an Orange pi 5 with Armbian installed. Raspberry pi is under powered and it’s a pain getting compatible software for the arch.

Why Arch? Why don’t you try PopOS? I never had an issue using that distro.

I think setting up a docker container would be easier no?
