Not saying it’s in any way realistic, just that that’s what it would take for me to consider maybe rejoining Reddit.
Jedi council of Elrond? I’m not sure what a subreddit with such a name would be about. Summary?
Oh I’m not saying I’d rejoin Reddit if that happened, only that that’s what would be required for me to consider it in the first place.
You forgot to mention that it’s only open for billionaires, spez, Trump and Putin, but that they’ll be given a 100% discount.
At this point, spez resigning wouldn’t cut it. Reddit would need to be made into a non-profit a la Wikipedia and be managed by a trust.
Haven’t seen any indication of it being in danger in Switzerland. But we have proportional voting rather than first past the post and referenda are common.
You are indeed wrong. The email and IP addresses and passwords for example don’t get copied. I’m not well versed enough about how it works to go into more detail.
Has John Oliver already had an episode about spez’s enshittifying of reddit? Because if not, I guess this is one way to make him at least mention it on Last Week Tonight. xD
They won’t be getting familiar with the fediverse though. They’ll be getting familiar with Meta/Threads, as happened with Google Talk and XMPP.
