    AACAB I can get behind lol. ACAB half the time is just straight up internet trolls and instigators. Meanwhile the same people love to espouse shit like how the wealthy are the real oppressors while ignoring most police are only firmly low-middle class. There are way more people getting into that job who just happened into it like most people in the world. While yes, the abusers and psychopaths are attracted to the job for the above, the separation of powers in places like that are wide. Just like they would be in most businesses. Let alone the real deal PTSD they have to deal with daily to weekly in som areas.

    Any direct supervisors for teams that have pretty full automony know it’s impossible to track what they do constantly. So much of it is based on the trust system and good faith actors speaking out when they see something. Throw in some bystanders effect and benefit of the doubt for people who’d normally be good to you but a monster in the shadows… I’m not envious of police one bit, or the people trying to make change from the inside. Which is the only real way it’s going to happen despite internet tough guys espousing otherwise while refusing to pay taxes for shit like mental health services lol. Elected local/state politicians, DAs, also being the people who could make those changes. Also equally vilified.

    It’s way more complicated than people give it credit for when you’re actually trying to make change. For most people trying to get by, best thing you can do is vote.

    Maybe I’m too suburban but I’ve never seen staff get upset about being late by less than 15 minutes. Tbh I’ve never seen anyone even try to make an appointment still later than tha without just cancelling or pretending you never had one lol.

    I’m not envious one bit about working in the healthcare industry. I’ve seen enough of it to stay well away from an absolutely necessary profession rife in red tape and leaches at the higher levels.

    That’s what you plan to do on the internet all day? Just use buzzwords without understanding what they actually mean lol? Or do you genuinely believe that isn’t the root of most right wing estranged, convoluted, self-deceptive arguments? Because the Republicans being elected have been saying the quiet part out loud for almost 8 years now.

    Gish gallop! Fallacy fallacy! Sealioning!!! And no, citing multiple sources is not gish gallop. I’ve been hit with that accusation in a personal chat recently too lol.

    How dare the public not want to hear about us stripping the rights of gays, and trans people? ECHO CHAMBER! I JUST WANT CIVIL DISCUSSION ABOUT HOW BLACK PEOPLE ARE NOTHING BUT THUGS AND RAPISTS AND THEY SHOULD GO BACK TO AFRICA.

    How about no dude? Go back to Truth Social and rant there. Nobody wants to hear about your eugenics, how a female comic artist hurts your browsing experience and you’re too contrarian not to spew misogynist rhetoric.

    Progressives and most real moderates know better now. It’s all bad-faith arguments and dog whistles. The paradox of tolerance is real and people need to stop platforming insanity.
