  • I’ve had it for AGES. I agree that ads have been a bit much and many websites almost unusable without Origin. YT Premium though has been fairly solid with a couple hiccups.

Admittedly, I use YouTube as my primary source of entertainment. So the price is easily justified vs other services.

  • I have ADHD.

someone opens my Youtube as a litmus test

“So we pray unto the holy beings that this child may not lose their way. For which many forsaken paths they may tred, nor what trends they may trod upon, that they alight on lightened road and partake only within golden rays.”

“Also, just, like…ignore that 3am Pokemon rabbit ahem hole I went down when overtired.”

tldr: Flaw can give a hacker access to your computer only if they have already bypassed most of the computer’s security.

This means continue not going to sketchy sites.

Continue not downloading that obviously malicious attachment.

    Continue not being a dumbass.

    Proceed as normal.

Because if a hacker got that deep your system is already fucked.

  • HA. So look, I do agree. Problem is businesses don’t care, even if we do. If you figure out a way to stop management across way too many professions from holding hour long meetings to talk about some data point that has so significance to what is actually happening, and those “leaders” who call meetings early to get the team together, when the whole damn thing could be in an email…yeah man, when you solve that, I’ll work with you to solve the rest.

  • When an individual does that, they are doing so with a clear choice that they made. In a war, men die and leave families behind, and because they chose to defend their country, they are used to defend the interests of those with long swords and heavy sticks. They die without a choice far too often because they were tricked into believing they defend their homes.

All too often they’re forced into conflict that has very little to do with that choice. If our military didn’t try so hard to coerce and trick younger people into joining and thus being forced into conflict, I would be a bit less resentful and hateful towards the practice. That, however, is not the case.

  • War is death. There is no glory. There is no pride. None of them are heroes by choice, and many never feel like heroes after their friends die by their side.

War is violence. A desire of man to take with force the independence of a people and exchange that for subservience under the guise of land, resources, need.

Young people are tricked to serve. Recruited to become servants, coerced through deceit to don colors and weapons. Made to repeat mistakes because smaller men want and are not freely given. To solely defend and defy the overreaching end of a tyrant’s sword is to fight for reason earned from treachery and desire.

Humanity is not defined by grief. We are defined by the selfless acts of love and kindness in the darkest hours. Make no mistake; monsters do exist, and the worst are never the ones in harm’s way.

My favorite little story was while working short-term at a company. Had some issues, did my normal troubleshooting steps and Google searches, identified what I felt the issue was and knew I wouldn’t have enough access to fix it. Reached out and got a response “Blah blah blaaah schedule blah blah Remote-In.”

Later on he sent me a message and remotes into my computer. I take control quick, open up notepad, and type out “Hi!”

To this day I swear that little show earned me more difficult fake phishing attempts. Which I mention because he specifically told me one day he had experience in the information security sector. Lo’ and behold!

I do that shit when I have a web interview. Put up a guitar just visible in the camera, a small bookshelf, a floor lamp, make sure my tennis bag is visible despite not playing in ages…

Whether they realize it or not, people do take this stuff in. Not sure why some algorithm based on these very same interviews wouldn’t do the same.

I just fired up Donkey Kong Country recently after lowkey bragging about how I knew all the secrets, despite playing it last years ago. Partner was like, “Aight. Show.”

    “Kay”

And to my surprise I still remember where everything is and breezed past all except one level so far.

And you all know which fucking level that was.
