I haven’t enjoyed the internet like this in forever
so true :) I was explaining my missus about the blackout and she thought that meant I will have more time(Reddit is top of my screen time) that I can use to do other things, little did she know that I’m going to be wasting it on Lemmy lol.
in fact, my excitement about lemmy has left me with even less time, the irony
Getting of crack by switching to cocaine
Haha “Rexxit” is amazing!
Part of me is sad that this is needed, but it’s also exciting to try something new
Rexxit!!! Dig the name. It’s the era of lemmingration!
This is actually a genius idea on how to continue the protests after the 14th. Even if the blackout won’t last longer content creators should post content increasingly elswhere or additionally to reddit somewhere else and increase the viability of a replacement.
Funny enough, you’re one of the content creators by commenting! The comments and discussions were my favorite part of reddit and we’re bringing the comments with us over here to Lemmy!
Glad to see Lemmy finally taking off. I’m honestly scared the Reddit admins will buckle. This is where everyone should be. We can make this place as great as Reddit and it will be even better due to the decentralized nature of the network.
I proped up a number of smaller subs from my RSS feeds. Happy to be here. :) I felt a stir in the wind a few months ago and found this place and started to set up shop. I deleted ten years of content during the AMA. I thought I’d be more sad but I felt great.
Lemmy is one of the few platforms I actually want to be active on
LMAO reddit is a GREAT name for it.
Damn autocorrect
Autocorrect is in the pockets of big reddit
It’s taken me a bit to get used to and get it setup, but I’m liking it more and more, the longer I’m on it :)
Does Lemmy have awards? Because this might have been my first one.
Lolol it should!
I nuked my accounts at reddit just before the strike as a final move out of frustration. It was tough not knowing what the next day was going to look like. The people and the communities mean the world to me no matter the size and I am forever grateful of the hard work that was put in over there. I look forward to watching things grow over here and hope the initial learning curve is not too challenging for everyone and that it inspires more development than reddit ever did.
I’m picking it up bit by bit. Honestly I think a lot of my issues were getting used to the Jerboa app. A little more UI refinement and a few qol features and I’ll never look back
