It’s time. A bit later than planned but I thought no one would mind a few extra weeks.

This is the official yiffit goodbye thread for anyone who wants to immortalize their message in the final version of yiffit that will be archived. Both this post and the closure announcement post will be pinned on the frontpage of the archived version.

This post will stay up for approximately a week before all users are logged out and credentials revoked, which will be the first step of the archival process.

I’ll edit this post with a personal message later, but for now let me just say: thank you everyone who’s been here. So long and thanks for all the yiff!

    As with the initial announcement, a tear was shed. yiffit came at the right time and the right place for me to start to express myself. I appreciate what you did and will miss it. I’ll be over in pawb, but its not quite the same. Thank you, and thank everyone that stuck around.

    Here comes the end of this instance. Thank you for hosting it, it opened for me a whole new world, which is the fediverse. I do not regret the time I spent here and I’m glad I took part in such a warm and welcoming community. I appreciate the effort you put into it and it’s sad to see it go away. Farewell yiffit.

    Damn.

    I am not a furry (as I suspiciously said here 8 months ago first and I am here again), but I’ve been checking on this place and lurking around. Just occasionally opening yiffit.net and browsing around the SFW stuff. Similar with pawb.social. Seems like I came back just in time.
    Really, my only “interaction” was helping with the yeen on fediverse canvas a bit. Though I was mostly working on my large boykisser in top right, an effect exposure to 196 had on me :3

    Hmm, I even recognize a few people from here. l_b_i, Kolanaki and Jimbo.

    But it is pretty sad to see it go. I don’t have much to type here, but I went on it properly. I switched from my phone to ThinkPad (running Arch, btw) and I am listening to Nearer My God To Thee (instrumental - the one from Titanic movie). Sort of a weird ceremony xD

    I never understood what was so difficult about the hosting, if it’s not the hosting costs tbh. Is it because of the NSFW nature of the instance?
